Over the summer, senior Anika Johnson took it upon herself to submit some of
her poetry to a writing contest for high school students, and not only
was she accepted for publication,
but she is a finalist in their prize contest. Also, be sure to
congratulate yourselves as well, because without her Harding education,
and the confidence you as a teacher instilled in her, she would not have
been brave enough to submit her work in the first
place. Something that most writers can tell you is even harder than
the writing itself.
Congratulations to Michael Emerson, Wesley Tomlin and Miguel Rios of The Marionette for their outstanding work on the online Marionette site.
