Jami Mumford

Ms. Jami Mumford received her BA in English Education from the University of Central Oklahoma. While completing her first year of graduate work, Ms. Mumford taught Composition I & II at UCO. Outside of the college classroom, she functioned as the president of the English Graduate Organization on campus and helped create the university’s journal of undergraduate research, 1980.

Ms. Mumford has excelled at UCO, earning a 4.0 GPA in her field of study. She also received scholarships and awards such as the Geraldine Burns Award for Excellence in English Studies, Dr. Dean Everett Award, and the DaVinci Scholar Award, along
with gaining membership to Sigma Tau Delta, the English Honors Society. Ms. Mumford has presented her some of her research in English Studies at various academic conferences such as the National Conference of Undergraduate Research and PCA/ACA. After defending her thesis and completing her MA, Ms. Mumford hopes to enter a PhD program to continue her study of Composition and Rhetoric.
