Harding Charter Preparatory Parent(s)/Guardian(s),
The Free and Reduced-Price Meal Application for the 2026–2027 school year is now open—and we strongly encourage all families to apply. Only one application is required per household, and it can be conveniently submitted online here.
Students that qualify for FREE or REDUCED will be provided a free breakfast and lunch meal each day.
To ensure uninterrupted meal benefits, please complete the application before the first day of school. Without an approved application on file, students will be charged full price for meals until eligibility is confirmed.
Please note: a new application must be submitted each school year, even if you qualified last year.
In addition to access to healthy meals, qualifying for the Free and Reduced-Price Program provides several valuable benefits, including:
· ACT/SAT exam fee waivers
· College application fee waivers
· Reduced fees for Advanced Placement (AP) exams
· Discounted internet services from select providers
Even if you're unsure whether you qualify, we encourage you to apply. Eligibility guidelines change each year, and every application supports both your household and our broader school community.
We look forward to welcoming your students back soon and appreciate your continued partnership in ensuring every child has the resources they need to succeed.
Warm regards,

HCP District: July Newsletter

It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of one of our HCP heroes and beloved high school mathematics teacher, Betty Dorsey.
For 18 years, Ms. Dorsey faithfully served Oklahoma education, dedicating herself to helping students grow academically while encouraging them to believe in their potential. At Harding Charter Preparatory School, she became a treasured member of our community through her passion for mathematics, unwavering commitment to student success, and genuine care for those around her.
Out of respect for the family's privacy and confidentiality, we will not be sharing additional information regarding her passing at this time. We kindly ask that you keep Ms. Dorsey's family and all who knew and loved her in your thoughts during this difficult time.
We recognize that this news may be especially difficult for many members of our HCP community. As our students return to school in just a few weeks, our faculty and staff will be available to provide care, encouragement, and support to students as they process this loss. Together, we will continue to care for one another with compassion and grace as we remember the remarkable impact Ms. Dorsey had on our community.
With heartfelt sympathy,

Harding Charter Preparatory School District
Today, we're proud to introduce the new visual identity of Harding Charter Preparatory School District.
Our updated logo reflects who we are today while honoring the legacy that has shaped us for more than two decades. As we continue to grow—with exceptional elementary, middle, and high schools united under one district—our new brand represents the strength, excellence, and opportunity that define the Harding experience.
Our new Eagles identity symbolizes:
🦅 Excellence in academics
🦅 Courage to pursue ambitious goals
🦅 A unified community from our youngest learners through graduation
🦅 A commitment to preparing every student for success in college and beyond
While our look has evolved, our mission remains unchanged: to prepare every student for success at any post-secondary educational institution through rigorous academics, meaningful relationships, and high expectations.
Over the coming weeks, you'll begin seeing our new logo across our campuses, website, social media, and district communications.
This is more than a new logo. It's a reflection of where we've been, who we are, and where we're going.
Welcome to the next chapter of Harding.

Harding Charter Prep Community,
I am excited to announce that Jeremy Williams has been selected as the next Chief Operating Officer of Harding Charter Preparatory School District, beginning July 1, 2026.
Jeremy recently completed his 21st year in education and has dedicated his career to helping students succeed both inside and outside the classroom. He spent the first 16 years of his educational career at Wagoner Public Schools, where he served as Director of Bands. During his time in Wagoner, he built a highly successful band program, led numerous student achievements, and managed the Wagoner Performing Arts Center, creating opportunities for students and the community to experience the arts at a high level.
In August 2021, Jeremy relocated with his family to the Edmond area and joined Harding Fine Arts Academy as Assistant Principal and Athletic Director. After one year in that role, he was selected to serve as the school's Principal while also taking on responsibilities as Chief Operations Officer. During his time at Harding Fine Arts Academy, Jeremy helped guide the school's continued growth, expanded academic and fine arts opportunities, strengthened operational systems, and worked to ensure students received an exceptional educational experience.
As Harding Charter Preparatory School District prepares for future growth, Jeremy's experience in both school leadership and operations will be invaluable. As Chief Operating Officer, he will oversee district operational systems, including enrollment, facilities, transportation, technology, food service, human resources, safety, and other essential functions that support our students, staff, and families.
Jeremy holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Northeastern State University and a Master of Education degree in Educational Leadership from Oklahoma State University. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated a commitment to excellence, collaboration, and ensuring students have access to outstanding educational opportunities.
Jeremy shared, "I am honored and excited for the opportunity to serve as the Chief Operating Officer for Harding Charter Preparatory School District. Harding has a strong reputation for excellence, and I look forward to supporting our students, staff, and families as we continue to grow and expand opportunities for children across Oklahoma City. I am grateful for the trust placed in me and excited to help advance the district's mission and vision in the years ahead."
Please join me in congratulating Jeremy Williams as he steps into this important leadership role. I am confident that his experience, passion for education, and commitment to students will help us continue building a strong foundation for the future of Harding Charter Preparatory School District.
