Harding Charter Preparatory Middle School at Independence proudly recognized a group of students selected by their teachers as this month’s Rising Eagles. Each month, HCPMS highlights a character trait that strengthens the culture of the school, and for August, the focus was on friendliness, a quality that helps build a welcoming, supportive environment for all students.

Friendliness at HCPMS goes beyond simple kindness. It means including others in activities, offering help when someone needs it, and making sure every student feels valued and seen. The students honored as Rising Eagles consistently demonstrated these behaviors throughout the month, uplifting their peers and contributing to a positive school community.

This recognition reflects Harding Charter Prep’s commitment to a holistic approach to education. While rigorous academics remain central to our mission, we also prioritize developing strong character, leadership, and interpersonal skills. By celebrating traits like friendliness, integrity, and compassion, HCP helps students grow into confident, well‑rounded learners who thrive both inside and outside the classroom.
